Care Instructions

One of the best ways to keep Sattler fabrics looking good and to delay deep or vigorous cleanings is to properly maintain the fabrics. This can be accomplished by simply brushing off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics, wiping up spills as soon as they occur or spot cleaning soon after stains occur.

Sattler fabric does not promote mildew growth, however, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric.

To clean, use a solution of lukewarm water (not exceeding 100° F) and a mild natural soap such as Lux™ or Ivory™. Rinse thoroughly to remove excess soap. For light cleaning, avoid the use of detergents.

Normal wear, usage and cleaning will reduce the effectiveness of the water-repellent finish. If water repellency is important, a water-repellency treatment (available at marine and awning stores) should be used if the fabric has been cleaned or if the fabric is constantly exposed to the elements.

When cleaning Sattler fabrics, it is important to observe the following:

• Always use a mild detergent

• Water should be cold to lukewarm.

• Rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent residue.

• Air dry only. Never apply heat to our fabrics.
