A membrane structure stretches over the grandstand roof at the Zayed Stadions in Al Ain in three levels for continuous sun protection of the spectators. Each of the 51 membrane fields of the grandstand roof differs in size and shape and is mounted on steel arches and stretched towards the outer edges with cables. The lower membrane field of the grandstand roof starts at a height of 16 meters, the upper levels are arranged at app. 32 meters. The field sizes of the grandstand roof vary from 3x4 sqm up to 9x16 sqm. Overall, an area of approx. 7,500 sqm is covered. The sun in the Emirates in the summer has no mercy, so a grandstand roof by Ceno gave almost each spectators the shade they required to observe each game. |
