Just in time for the summer season 2011, the new membrane roof for the open air amphitheater at Lake Senftenberg was completed. In the summer months, 50 - 60 presentations occur annually here. The membrane roof over the stage and spectator areas should enable a versatile use of the open air theater in future, also in case of bad weather. As a result of independence from the weather and the enhanced attractiveness of the venue, as well as through a quantitative increase of showings, the operators of the venue increased significantly their capacity which resulted in much higher turnovers. The membrane roof can be seeing from far away and is a highlight in Senftenberg
Simultaneously, the tensile structure with its impressive membrane roof gave the venue an additional focus. The roof cladding acts as a projection screen for light effects, and the roof which is lit up in the darkness will be a shining beacon visible far away.
